Commercial Services Support

Responsibilities

• Lead and support commercial activities across the full capability lifecycle, including procurement planning, tendering, contract formation, management, and closure.
• Deliver contract development activities in accordance with CASG policy and within required time frames.
• Collaborate with key CASG stakeholders, including MPB, FIS, CFA, DFG, and Defence Legal.
• Provide commercial advice across procurement, legal, financial, and technical areas.
• Undertake research and provide guidance on commercial, legal, and policy matters.
• Mentor and support Contract Management and Contract Development Officers to build team capability.
• Manage commercial risks, ensure compliance with policy requirements, and support governance activities including probity requirements.
• Provide timely and high-quality support to Executive Leadership.

Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Law, Procurement, Contract Management, Finance, Project Management, or a related field (or equivalent demonstrated experience).
• Demonstrated experience in commercial, procurement, or contract management within a complex, regulated environment.
• Proven stakeholder management experience with the ability to build effective working relationships across diverse groups.
• Ability to identify, assess, and manage commercial risks related to contract development and supplier performance.
• Experience applying procurement frameworks and governance requirements (Defence/CASG experience is highly regarded).
• Must hold an active Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) security clearance.
