Commercial Real Estate Underwriting Associate

Responsibilities

• Participate in credit research and investigation for existing and prospective commercial real estate clients and counterparties
• Review basic issues, policies, or procedures related to low to medium risk tasks and deliverables
• Exercise independent judgment while developing an understanding of functional policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
• Collaborate and consult with Commercial Real Estate Underwriting managers, functional colleagues, and various stakeholders

Requirements

• 6+ months of Commercial Real Estate Underwriting experience or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, or education
• Ability to read and understand basic commercial real estate loan documentation
• Understanding of securitization documents, including pooling and servicing agreements

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA in Finance
• Previous experience supporting the US Commercial Real Estate market
• Experience supporting commercial real estate investment management or commercial real estate balance sheet lending business
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
