About the role
Responsibilities
- Coordinate timely and accurate FNMA/FMAC and FHA commercial real estate loan closings in accordance with department and government regulations.
- Interface with internal and external parties, including loan originators, underwriters, attorneys, title companies, and government employees.
- Manage transaction timelines and communicate deadlines to all relevant partners.
- Perform pre- and post-closing functions, including managing closing checklists and reviewing draft loan documents for accuracy.
- Prepare loan closing packages for securitization and delivery to investors.
- Prepare loan settlement statements and work with escrow agents to complete final disbursement procedures.
- Prepare initial draws and review funding schedules for construction transactions.
- Update internal systems to ensure accurate reporting data for all transactions.
Requirements
- 3+ years of FHA and/or FNMA/FMAC closing experience.
- Strong knowledge of FHA/FNMA/FMAC loan programs, mortgage loan documents, and closing requirements.
- Ability to understand and interpret legal contracts.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Access.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to work in a time-sensitive environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with FHA construction loans.
- Willingness to develop expertise across various commercial real estate product types.
