Commercial Manager

Responsibilities

• Monitor commercial performance and maintain cost forecasts vs baselines
• Conduct routine site visits to identify and escalate emerging commercial risks
• Manage commercial assurance of change control and pricing methods
• Plan and implement close-out and rolling final account settlements
• Support risk management by maintaining live threats and opportunities
• Validate NEC4 ECC KPI definitions, measurements, and incentive mechanisms
• Provide clean datasets including cost, change, risk, and carbon to the Data team
• Build and maintain collaborative relationships with contractors, suppliers, and trusts
• Ensure compliance with contract and alliance framework conditions
• Implement robust approaches to defined cost assurance

Requirements

• Proven experience in commercial management within major construction programmes
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, specifically NEC or JCT
• Excellent cost control, reporting, and collaboration skills
• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management, or related field
• Professional membership or working towards RICS, CIOB, or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with public-sector healthcare clients
• Understanding of working in live healthcare environments
• Knowledge of healthcare technical standards and compliance frameworks
