Commercial Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop junior members of the team
• Perform NEC3 Contract management and administration upstream and downstream
• Establish and manage entitlement to maximize contract value
• Investigate and draft contract communications, including Early Warning Notices and Compensation Events
• Liaise and negotiate with the Client’s Commercial and project teams
• Provide contractual and commercial risk advice to Technical and Construction Delivery teams
• Lead project financial monitoring, reporting, and margin improvement plans
• Produce cashflow forecasts and manage subcontractor/supplier contracts including payments and final accounts
• Review and valuation of subcontractor applications for payment
• Manage and report on commercial and cost aspects including CVRs

Requirements

• Degree level education
• MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Public Health) experience
• Experience with main contractor or joint venture environments
• Proficient user of NEC3-4 suite of contracts
• Experience controlling costs for self-delivery works
• Experience negotiating and procuring sub-contract packages
• Working towards or holding chartership of a relevant institution
• Right to work in the UK
