Commercial Manager

Responsibilities

• Provide commercial expertise across the delivery lifecycle, including procurement, contract execution, and close-out
• Collaborate with planners, PMs, and client stakeholders to ensure commercial clarity
• Oversee contract development, supplier performance, and risk mitigation
• Ensure compliance with NEC3/4, FIDIC, and UK regulatory frameworks
• Guide procurement strategy and contract preparation
• Support work-winning teams by reviewing tender packs and identifying commercial risks
• Manage cost planning, estimating, valuations, and change control
• Oversee final account negotiation and post-project evaluation

Requirements

• Qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Law, or a related subject
• Chartership in a related subject (or working towards it)
• Experience in nuclear, water, environment, defence, rail, or major infrastructure sectors
• Expertise in NEC3/4 contracts
• Strong financial modelling and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of CDM regulations and risk management
• Valid CSCS card
• Right to work in the UK and ability to complete BPSS

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing teams and mentoring junior colleagues
• Familiarity with the full construction lifecycle
• Proficiency in industry-specific contract management systems
