Commercial Loan Specialist

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of the commercial loan closing process, ensuring documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with Bank standards.
• Collect necessary due diligence to close loans in accordance with approved terms and regulations.
• Act as a liaison between Commercial Bankers, Credit Underwriters, Approvers, outside counsel, and third-party agents.
• Identify and manage risk through the review of loan documentation, regulations, and policy requirements.
• Monitor the construction process for assigned loans and provide oversight for construction loan administration.
• Support portfolios by ensuring all necessary documentation, evaluations, and crucial information are maintained.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED with 6 years of experience in Commercial Loan Documentation, OR a Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of experience in the same field.
• 4+ years of prior experience in banking (e.g., Bank Teller, Universal Banker, or Lending Support).
• Strong working knowledge of loan documentation and closing processes.
• Experience handling mortgages, assignments of rents, title documentation, surveys, appraisals, and environmental reports.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong computer skills with the ability to learn banking systems.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a professional environment.
