Commercial & Land Advisor - Surface

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and draft Surface and Subsurface Use Agreements, ROW/TB Agreements, and Water Purchase and Transport Agreements.
• Consult with surface owners regarding drill site locations, ingress/egress, roads, pits, and ROWs.
• Coordinate survey schedules and accompany construction teams to the field to ensure proper staking of multi-well pads.
• Act as the primary point of contact for Midland Basin surface owners, managing relationships within agricultural and rural industries.
• Mitigate complaints and manage land support for road repairs on existing assets.
• Coordinate with Environmental teams regarding oil/saltwater spill cleanups and remediation efforts.
• Ensure compliance with all company safety guidelines and requirements for both employees and contractors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• 3+ years of surface land experience.
• Upstream oil and gas knowledge.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in drilling location construction, water/ROW acquisition, or surface owner negotiation.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to drive a company vehicle approximately 40% of the time across various terrains and conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and GPS equipment.
• Strong negotiation, organizational, and planning skills.
• Ability to maintain a professional appearance and communicate effectively with the general public.
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions, including heat and cold.
