About the role

Responsibilities

  • Handle land-related responsibilities in designated geographic areas with limited supervision
  • Manage brokers for title research and due diligence, including obtaining Title Opinions and curing defects
  • Review and draft leases, term assignments, and contracts, providing guidance on critical dates and obligations
  • Assist with the preparation of documents for exploratory and development wells and perform lease maintenance
  • Negotiate term assignments, operating agreements, and farm-out agreements with companies and individuals
  • Leverage professional networks to negotiate acreage trades, acquisitions, and divestitures
  • Collaborate with technical functions on development planning and execution

Requirements

  • 3+ years of in-house land experience
  • Strong knowledge of Upstream oil and gas operations
  • Bachelor's degree in Energy Management/Energy Commerce, a Law Degree, or an MBA
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency with GIS and Land Systems
  • Effective negotiation, advocacy, and influencing skills
  • Strong critical thinking and business judgment
  • Experience with land transactions and a strong oil and gas network
  • Ability to produce results in time-constrained situations
