Commercial HVAC Technician 1

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on electrical distribution and HVAC equipment, including chillers, ACs, air handlers, pumps, dehumidifiers, heaters, and heat exchangers.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures both at the shop and at various customer locations.
• Set up and operate equipment at the shop and on customer sites, either independently or as part of a technician team.
• Manage daily local travel to field sites using a company vehicle.

Requirements

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• 2-5 years of experience performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs on HVAC equipment.
• Proficiency in reading schematics and calculating nominal/effective tonnage and kW requirements.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to move or lift objects, typically up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card if required by customer needs.
