Commercial HVAC Service Manager

Responsibilities

• Conduct onsite inspections to validate contractor-installed HVAC systems for compliance with manufacturer specifications and local codes
• Oversee HVAC equipment startup to ensure proper system operation and optimal performance
• Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to contractors regarding installation discrepancies
• Manage the HVAC service team, including scheduling, dispatching, and workflow optimization
• Review, edit, and price service and startup quotations with accuracy
• Approve technician timecards and monitor work quality
• Develop project documentation templates, including pre-startup and commissioning checklists
• Maintain compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and industry regulations

Requirements

• Proven experience in commercial HVAC service management and contractor oversight
• Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, commissioning procedures, and troubleshooting techniques
• Experience with equipment startup processes
• Excellent leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency in inspection reporting tools and service management software

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant certifications such as EPA, NATE, or factory startup certifications
• Installation compliance certifications
