Commercial HVAC Estimator

Responsibilities

• Lead the procurement relationship between field offices and the supplier base
• Partner with the HVAC Controls Sales Organization to develop accurate installation cost models
• Lead the identification and selection of third-party subcontractors through supplier development and contract management
• Manage price negotiations, supplier relationships, and working capital optimization
• Review total Project Scope of Work (SOW) to qualify and clarify subcontractor requirements
• Utilize estimating tools to develop baseline subcontractor installation pricing
• Develop, host, and review all Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
• Coordinate operational procurement activities to ensure compliance with company procedures and DoA requirements

Requirements

• 5-8+ years of project management experience with estimating experience in the HVAC Controls construction or trades industry
• Proven procurement experience with a focus on construction and/or HVAC equipment and services
• Electrical or mechanical controls trade experience (e.g., Electrician, Electrical Supervisor, or Estimator)
• Strong financial knowledge and cost analysis skills
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS Project
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in team settings and with sales organizations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in design-build construction
• Extensive experience in the HVAC industry
• Multi-language capabilities
