Commercial HVAC Estimator

Responsibilities

• Lead the relationship between field offices and the supplier base by developing accurate installation cost models.
• Act as the main procurement contact for assigned branch offices, partnering with the HVAC Controls Sales Organization.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, including identification, selection, and contract management.
• Develop and host RFPs and source third-party subcontractor quotes.
• Review project Scopes of Work (SOW) and customer documents to ensure adequate provisions in subcontractor contracts.
• Implement supply chain strategies to optimize subcontract labor procurement and working capital.

Requirements

• 5-8+ years of experience in project management and estimating within the HVAC Controls construction or trades industry.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in the electrical industry.
• Proven experience in procurement with a focus on construction, HVAC equipment, or services.
• Strong expertise in cost analysis and financial knowledge.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and MS Project.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in team settings and collaborate with sales organizations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in design-build construction.
• Deep knowledge of HVAC systems.
• Multilingual capabilities.
• Background as an Electrical Supervisor, Electrician, or similar trade role.
