Commercial Fire Door Inspector

Responsibilities

• Complete field inspections using a tablet to determine pass/fail per code standards
• Submit reports of findings and attach QR code stickers to openings as required
• Photograph openings and deficiencies for documentation
• Perform adjustments and install products to bring openings into compliance
• Maintain safe working environments and clean job sites upon completion
• Complete job tickets, timesheets, and collect COD payments accurately and on time
• Update inspection records post-repair via tablet and travel as required

Requirements

• Basic Microsoft Office knowledge and average computer/phone proficiency
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to ascend/descend ladders, stand for long periods, and climb stairs
• Capability to work around temperature extremes, heights, fumes, dust, and noise

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience reading, interpreting, and applying commercial building codes and standards
• Commercial door, frame, and hardware experience
