Commercial Energy Development Associate

Responsibilities

• Manage early stage opportunity sourcing and qualification for GW-scale energy and infrastructure projects
• Conduct preliminary discussions with potential counterparties and partners to validate project fit
• Drive vetting of early stage projects to identify key risks and mitigation pathways
• Support Commercial Leads in driving deal analyses, structuring, and negotiation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Technical Development, Real Estate, and Regulatory
• Analyze regulatory and policy developments impacting the energy and AI industry
• Assess key market trends within grid power, gas power, and renewables
• Support interconnection application processes and property tax abatement negotiations
• Own critical project data and drive synthesis for executive reporting

Requirements

• Minimum of 4+ years of experience in the energy or industrial real estate sector
• Experience in project development of large-scale infrastructure
• Knowledge of power marketing and PPA origination strategies
• Deep interest in AI workloads and AI infrastructure providers
• Familiarity with the U.S. energy landscape and macro market trends
• Relevant degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field

• Experience with hyperscalers or compute developers
• Growth mindset and ability to adapt to a fast-paced startup environment
