Commercial Drivers License (CDL) Test Examiner

Responsibilities

• Administer CDL Licensing testing including pre-trip inspection, parking maneuvers, and road-driving skills
• Verify accuracy and completeness of student assessments
• Record and upload test results into national testing databases
• Inspect vehicles to ensure roadworthiness and safety
• Operate CDL vehicles such as tractor trailers, buses, and bobtail trucks
• Direct student activities during examinations and provide technical guidance
• Confer with Test Coordinator and Lead Examiner to resolve issues

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL) Class A
• Clean driving record
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong conflict management and customer service skills
• Knowledge of truck and vehicle safety

Preferred Qualifications

• At least three years of CDL driving experience
