Commercial Director

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute local go-to-market strategies to achieve sales and growth objectives in Japan
• Manage relationships with distributors, retailers, and e-commerce platforms
• Lead and mentor a high-performing sales, marketing, and operations team
• Identify new business opportunities and market expansion plans
• Analyze market trends and customer feedback to inform product development
• Forecast demand and manage sales planning with global supply chain and finance teams
• Implement organized play initiatives and experiential activations to grow the player base
• Serve as the senior representative of Wizards of the Coast in Japan

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in sales and marketing leadership within entertainment, TCG, gaming, or consumer products
• Strong understanding of retail, distribution, and e-commerce in the Japanese market
• Proven leadership and team management skills
• Deep knowledge of the Japanese market and consumer behavior
• Fluent in both Japanese and English (business-level written and spoken)
• Deep knowledge of the Trading Card Game ecosystem is highly desired
• Strong analytical, planning, and communication skills
