Commercial Director

Responsibilities

• Drive Teads’ expansion with key agencies and brands, establishing trusted relationships across senior levels
• Own the full sales cycle from lead identification to pitching and closing deals
• Champion advertising solutions by connecting client challenges with market-leading formats
• Lead and mentor sales, account management, and campaign management teams
• Partner with internal teams including Campaign Management, Studio, and Data & Insights
• Build tailored pitch materials and RFP responses
• Negotiate contracts and manage revenue forecasting and pipeline discipline
• Stay ahead of market trends to translate insights into actionable strategies

Requirements

• 10+ years of sales experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role
• Proven experience working with domestic Japanese agencies and new business development
• Deep understanding of the digital landscape and programmatic advertising
• Technical knowledge of ad-serving systems, tracking technologies, and measurement solutions
• Established network within the Japanese advertising ecosystem (media agencies, trading desks, etc.)
• Proven track record of closing large accounts and exceeding revenue goals
• Full professional fluency in Japanese and ability to communicate effectively in English
