Commercial Director-MEA

Responsibilities

• Establish and achieve sales goals and objectives across the Middle East and Africa to support the Global Products strategic plan
• Develop and own the commercial strategy for a complex mix of public and private sector customers
• Lead and manage sales teams responsible for existing business and new business development
• Drive revenue growth and implement Abbott’s commercial excellence standards within the Toxicology business
• Manage the regional commercial budget and oversee contract negotiations, pricing, and tender processes
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with key national, regional, and international accounts
• Monitor market, customer, and competitive trends to improve market competitiveness
• Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and participate in quarterly business reviews with senior management

Requirements

• Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience
• Senior-level commercial leadership experience
• Proven expertise in contract negotiation and management of commercial agreements
• Extensive experience in tender management
• Strong background in staff mentoring, training, and performance management
• Demonstrated aptitude for business development and building client relationships
• Ability to operate effectively at both strategic and operational levels
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills
