Commercial Director (Facilities Management)

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement and contracting strategies aligned with program objectives and legal requirements.
• Oversee the full tendering process, including document preparation, bid evaluation, and contract award.
• Manage contract administration activities, including payment certifications, variations, and claims.
• Lead strategic claims scrutiny and defense to protect the program's financial and contractual interests.
• Oversee cost management systems to ensure effective budget control and reporting of adverse trends.
• Identify and mitigate commercial and contractual risks proactively.
• Serve as the primary interface for pre- and post-contract administration with clients and contractors.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the commercial team, including cost consultants and procurement specialists.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Contract Management, Law, Engineering, Facility Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in contract management, vendor management, or procurement.
• Proven experience managing service contracts, specifically within the Facility Management (FM) or related sectors.
• Strong understanding of commercial principles and contract terms and conditions.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to build effective working relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within the Saudi Arabian or GCC market.
• Familiarity with local FM service providers.
• Deep knowledge of international procurement operations and global supply chain management.
• Experience leading complex, high-value projects with rigorous cost control.
• Knowledge of risk mitigation and project financing within engineering and construction.
