Commercial Director

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage the full sales campaign lifecycle, including exhibition and sponsorship strategies
• Create and implement global sales strategies in coordination with the VP and marketing teams
• Lead, manage, and motivate a team of Sales Managers, setting individual targets and KPIs
• Oversee the sales pipeline from lead generation to conclusion, ensuring CRM best practices
• Cultivate strong relationships with key accounts, agents, trade associations, and government departments
• Manage revenue budgets, including forecasting, reporting, and identifying new revenue streams
• Collaborate with operations on floorplan management to maximize yield
• Conduct continuous analysis of revenue channels and competitor landscapes to protect event positioning

Requirements

• Degree educated with a proven track record in a senior commercial role
• 5-7 years of experience within medium to large-scale B2B events
• 3-5 years of experience leading and managing established commercial teams
• 2-3 years of experience in project and sales management
• Strong expertise in financial management, planning, and sales cycle implementation
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Existing relationships within the energy or event organization sectors
• Proficiency with Salesforce
