Commercial Counsel

Responsibilities

• Serve as the point person for commercial deals, drafting and negotiating software licenses, partnership agreements, and vendor contracts
• Build, streamline, and operationalize the contracting process and sales playbooks
• Provide legal advice on commercial transactions, data privacy, and AI regulation
• Own the entire contracting cycle from initial draft to execution

Requirements

• JD with membership in at least one U.S. state bar
• 5+ years of legal experience in commercial deals for technology companies
• Proven ability to provide pragmatic, business-oriented advice
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities autonomously

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with healthcare, AI, and SaaS commercial agreements
• Knowledge of privacy laws including HIPAA and GDPR
• Experience with emerging regulatory policies on Generative AI
• Start-up experience
• Ability to operationalize and scale commercial contracting processes
