Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for the commercial portfolio
• Provide management and mentorship to the portfolio accounting team
• Develop, analyze, and interpret statistical and accounting information to appraise profitability and performance
• Manage month-end closing and monthly preparation of financial statements
• Manage business sector CAM reconciliation and budgeting processes
• Manage internal audits and provide required operational and lender reporting
• Update accounting processes to improve efficiencies and monitor internal controls
• Champion the adoption of technology, automation, and AI-driven tools to improve reporting and analytics
• Lead process improvement initiatives and drive change management

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree, accounting major preferred
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in the real estate industry focusing on commercial products
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience
• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, analysis, and reconciliation
• Demonstrated comfort leveraging AI, automation, and financial technologies
• Strong analytical orientation and ability to translate data into actionable recommendations

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA certification
• Yardi Voyager experience
