Commercial Construction and Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform full space renovations including washrooms, lunchrooms, and commercial offices
• Execute maintenance and light repairs on walls, floors, and cabinetry
• Conduct demolition, framing, painting, drywall installation, and taping
• Install and repair floor coverings such as VCT, ceramic, LVT, and carpet
• Perform millwork installation and concrete work
• Assist tradespeople with electrical, plumbing, and HVAC tasks
• Respond to client service calls and diagnose facility issues independently
• Work from blueprints, drawings, and specifications to complete scope of work
• Maintain accurate records of work, materials, and time using electronic devices

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of experience in carpentry or construction
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Ability to obtain and retain security clearances
• Working at Heights certification
• Physical capability for lifting, climbing, and working in various environments
• Proficiency with work order management software
