Commercial Cleaner

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and waste removal
• Complete deep cleaning tasks such as washing interior and exterior windows, walls, and ceilings
• Sanitize restrooms, kitchens, and high-touch surfaces
• Monitor and replenish dispensers as required
• Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently
• Manage routine upkeep of exterior areas, including garbage pickup in green spaces and parking lots
• Handle emergency cleaning and upkeep requests
• Follow strict protocols for cleaning in secure environments
• Report maintenance issues, damage, vandalism, or safety hazards to the Team Lead
• Complete pre-job hazard assessments and cleaning checklists

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Security Clearance (requires 10 years continuous residency in Canada)
• Physical ability to lift 50lbs and perform repetitive motions
• Ability to work overhead and use ladders
• Comfortable working with medical grade cleaning, blood borne pathogens, and hazardous substances
• Comfortable wearing PPE including N90 masks and respirators
• Ability to wear steel toe work boots

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in commercial or industrial cleaning
