About the role
Responsibilities
- Negotiate commodity purchases of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal, including pricing, contracts, and shipment terms
- Prospect and visit new customers across industrial accounts, retail, dealers, and demolition projects
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure smooth operations and timely deliveries
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships and manage inventory updates
- Identify solutions to improve scrap recovery and meet sourcing quotas
Requirements
- Strong sales and negotiation skills
- Ability to build long-term customer relationships
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar tools
- Highly organized and self-motivated
- Willingness to travel up to 50% and work flexible hours
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of scrap metals and market pricing trends
- Bilingual (Spanish/English)
