About the role

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate commodity purchases of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal, including pricing, contracts, and shipment terms
  • Prospect and visit new customers across industrial accounts, retail, dealers, and demolition projects
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure smooth operations and timely deliveries
  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships and manage inventory updates
  • Identify solutions to improve scrap recovery and meet sourcing quotas

Requirements

  • Strong sales and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build long-term customer relationships
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar tools
  • Highly organized and self-motivated
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% and work flexible hours

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of scrap metals and market pricing trends
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English)
