Commercial Banker - Startup Banking - Vice President

Responsibilities

• Acquire and deepen relationships with early-stage technology startups to drive business growth.
• Build and maintain a brand that positions Startup Banking as a leader in the innovation economy.
• Develop a channel partnership pipeline and leverage referral networks to identify top founders.
• Deliver the full suite of firm solutions, including credit and payments, to new and existing clients.
• Champion a customer-centric, "founder-first" mindset while effectively managing KYC, credit, and operational risk.
• Stay updated on industry trends within the pre-Series A startup ecosystem to identify strategic opportunities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of related experience in business development or commercial banking.
• Strong business development skills, including tactical selling and negotiation.
• Deep understanding of Commercial Banking products and services.
• Proven ability to build and maintain positive, long-term client relationships.
• Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills to establish credibility with senior partners.
• Ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity, and use sound judgment in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience working within the early-stage tech or innovation economy sector.
• A collaborative mindset and a desire to contribute to a national team of specialized bankers.
