Commercial and Industrial Operations Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of project operations including system availability, maintenance, cost control, and vendor oversight.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and suppliers to manage preventive and corrective maintenance for energy services systems.
• Use Maintenance Management Tools (MMT) to track, schedule, and verify all maintenance activities.
• Establish and maintain communication with project stakeholders, including customers, management, and vendors.
• Oversee project lifecycles post-construction, including contracting, schedule development, procurement, and invoice accuracy.
• Ensure adherence to Duke Safety Plans, SPCC Plans, and environmental and security protocols.
• Monitor system performance through remote monitoring and data management to ensure high availability.

Requirements

• Associates degree and 2+ years of related experience, OR High School/GED and 5+ years of related experience.
• Bachelors degree and 5+ years of related experience, OR High School/GED and 9+ years of related experience.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Technical knowledge of diesel or natural gas generators.
• Knowledge of low and medium voltage switchgear.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in a technical field focusing on diesel generators, electrical, or mechanical systems.
• Professional certifications such as Professional Engineer, diesel mechanic, or switchgear service technician.
• Experience in utility operations, construction management, or risk management.
• Proficiency in project scheduling, cost controls, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
