Commercial Analytics Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and standardized reports in enterprise BI platforms like Power BI or Tableau.
• Develop and maintain semantic layer objects, including measures, dimensions, and hierarchies, to ensure governed and accurate insights.
• Translate complex business requirements from commercial stakeholders into intuitive, self-service BI solutions and visualizations.
• Support the development and testing of agentic AI workflows by preparing training datasets and participating in prompt engineering.
• Monitor data freshness and perform regular data quality reviews to ensure the operational reliability of all analytics assets.
• Provide first-line support for BI platform queries, report issues, and data interpretation for commercial business users.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• 1 year of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or a data-focused role.
• Proficiency in at least one enterprise BI platform (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or Qlik).
• Solid SQL skills for data querying, validation, and analysis.
• Familiarity with semantic layer concepts such as measures, dimensions, and calculated metrics.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with semantic layer or BI modeling tools such as LookML, DAX, or AtScale.
• Exposure to modern cloud data platforms like Snowflake, BigQuery, or Databricks.
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, prompt engineering, or agentic workflow tooling.
• Experience working within the MedTech, Life Sciences, or other highly regulated industries.
• Understanding of UX/UI design principles applied to data visualization.
