Commercial Analyst – Renewables Forecasting

Responsibilities

• Implement metrics to measure renewables forecasting data quality in real-time and for historical analyses
• Follow up with vendors and park-owners regarding identified data quality issues
• Collect and engineer relevant data for forecasting processes
• Analyse, monitor, and benchmark the performance of renewables forecasts from external providers
• Support operational forecasting duty by identifying and solving critical incidents
• Prepare ad-hoc commercial analyses for internal and external stakeholders
• Regularly update stakeholders on recent developments and performance evaluations

Requirements

• University degree in mathematics, physics, meteorology, engineering, or business with a strong quantitative focus
• Professional experience in timeseries and large dataset analysis
• Modelling and programming experience, preferably in Python
• Strong analytical and investigative skills
• Strong interest in short-term energy markets, renewable energy, algorithms, and data science
• Proactive and independent way of working
• Fluency in English
