Commercial Ag Underwriter

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new and existing commercial agricultural business to determine risk acceptability
• Process policies, prepare quotations, and determine appropriate pricing
• Handle in-force policy underwriting, including endorsements and policy audits
• Review information submitted by producers and brokers to ensure accuracy
• Manage cancellations, non-renewals, and renewal actions throughout the policy year
• Travel within the assigned territory as required

Requirements

• College degree (2-year or 4-year)
• 5 years of active experience in an underwriting role
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Strong knowledge of insurance forms and contracts
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of insurance industry courses such as INS, CPCU, or AU
