About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of all equipment systems at the Combustion Turbine facility.
- Perform planned and unplanned maintenance on substation equipment, including HRSGs, steam turbines, gas turbines, and high voltage equipment.
- Execute Lock-Out-Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures to ensure site safety.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation and control systems.
- Operate and maintain water treatment facilities, including reverse osmosis and demineralizers.
- Maintain accurate records for Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) compliance.
- Manage inventory duties, including generating spare parts lists and monitoring stock levels.
- Read and interpret technical OEM manuals and mechanical, civil, or electrical drawings.
Requirements
- 2-year college degree or technical school certificate, OR 2+ years of related experience/combustion turbine industry training.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to successfully complete POSS (Plant Operator Selection System) and MASS (Power Plant Maintenance Selection System) assessments.
- Ability to pass a medical physical and a respirator fit test.
- Ability to work in various conditions, including heights, confined spaces, and exposure to heat, noise, and electromagnetic fields.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and plant work management software (e.g., Maximo or Passport).
- Extensive experience with large heavy gas and steam turbine supplier technologies.
- Experience with high voltage substation maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of digital control systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and multi-fueled technologies.
- Experience with heavy equipment rigging and crane requirements.
