Combination Welding Instructor

Responsibilities

• Teach classes on a regular, scheduled basis and create a welcoming learning environment
• Assist in developing curriculum, preparing course materials, and scheduling
• Establish and maintain academic and attendance records for student files
• Maintain a neat and orderly classroom and lab environment
• Submit attendance, grades, and student evaluations per established procedures
• Assist with department equipment and supplies inventory and purchase requests
• Maintain and utilize program equipment
• Attend faculty meetings and mandatory in-service training

Requirements

• Must pass 3G and 4G weld tests in SMAW and FCAW at interview
• Must successfully complete a 3/8” single bevel groove plate test with backing in 3G and 4G positions
• American Welding Society (AWS) certification
• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum three years of hands-on practical welding experience
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
