Colorectal Surgeon

Responsibilities

• Provide high-volume colorectal surgery and endoscopy services within a busy clinical academic practice
• Utilize minimally invasive surgery (MIS) techniques, including laparoscopic, robotic, and TAMIS approaches
• Participate in the education of medical students, general surgery residents, and colorectal surgery fellows
• Engage in clinical research and participate in weekly colorectal tumor boards and educational conferences
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including Gastroenterology, Surgical Oncology, and Urology

Requirements

• Board Certification or Eligibility in both the American Board of Surgery (ABS) and the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgeons (ABCRS)
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical practice experience post-fellowship
• Active DEA license
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Strong EMR knowledge and computer proficiency
• Exceptional communication and conflict resolution skills

• Proven track record of academic achievement
• Experience in a high-volume quaternary referral center
