Color Scientist | Display & Image Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on human vision and its interaction with display devices
• Collaborate with partners on advanced vision and display research
• Participate in industry and standards organizations
• Lead Picture Quality (PQ) R&D for advanced display technologies
• Apply expertise in color science and visual perception to optimize video display systems
• Measure and evaluate picture quality in various displays and identify improvement opportunities
• Utilize scripting and advanced programming languages for PQ algorithms and analysis
• Conduct display metrology and performance evaluations using industry tools

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering with minimum 8 years related experience, OR Graduate degree in Science or Engineering with minimum 6 years of experience
• Proven experience and understanding of color science and visual perception of images and color as it pertains to video display systems
• Experience in Picture Quality-related R&D and authoring peer-reviewed technical publications
• Sound interpersonal skills with ability to articulate details for fact-based and intuitive decision making
