Colo Operations Support Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day onsite operations and optimizations for colocation sites in London and mainland Europe
• Implement fit-out and management of new Data Centre infrastructures
• Perform racking, cabling, and deployment of server and network hardware to high standards
• Respond to trading colocation issues and perform scheduled out-of-hours maintenance
• Troubleshoot network and server hardware, including Arista or Cisco equipment
• Maintain accurate documentation of colocation infrastructure and asset tracking
• Collaborate with the Dublin Low Latency Trading R&D team to deliver production solutions
• Travel to various European Data Centre locations to support capacity expansion and new projects

Requirements

• Technical Degree or equivalent professional experience
• Experience working within high-availability and high-security Data Centre environments
• Proven experience in Data Centre, Network, and Server installation and troubleshooting
• Proficiency with Arista, Cisco, or equivalent network hardware
• Familiarity with Linux (advanced user or basic administrator level)
• Familiarity with Windows Server (2016/2019/2022)
• Ability to perform cable management to extremely high standards, specifically for low latency environments
• Ability to work at heights and regularly lift server and network hardware
• A valid passport for required travel within the EU

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with optical fiber measurement using optical measurement tools
• Knowledge of hardware monitoring systems
• Knowledge of power distribution systems
