College Field Representative

About the Company

Turning Point USA is a 501(c)(3) grassroots nonprofit organization dedicated to educating students about the importance of fiscal responsibility, free markets, and limited government. With a presence on over 3,500 college campuses in all fifty states, Turning Point USA is one of the largest youth organizations in the country.

Responsibilities

• Work with student groups to launch new chapters and maintain established ones
• Organize daily campus initiatives and recruit new students
• Help students register to vote and develop strong networks throughout the territory
• Import and organize recruitment-related data
• Conduct outreach to prospective members and activists
• Give oral presentations and represent the organization at events and conferences
• Promote events on the field and via social media
• Manage the territory’s student Chapter Chair team
• Develop new activism plans and network on behalf of the organization

Requirements

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Knowledge of Google Apps, Airtable, and HubSpot
• Proficiency with X, Instagram, and Facebook
• Passion for conservative ideas and principles
• Proven leadership development
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel 40-50%
• Physical ability to sit/stand for extended periods and lift up to 15 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

• Entrepreneurial spirit
• Past or present involvement in conservative youth organizations
• Experience starting campus organizations
• Recruiting experience in urban communities
• Proven skills facilitating civic engagement and grassroots activism
