About the role
Responsibilities
- Report to inspection sites and follow assigned inspection routes
- Survey feeding sites at schools, day camps, parks, and playgrounds
- Inspect locations for vermin activity and food safety compliance
- Test and monitor food temperatures and explain findings to operators
- Enter logs, prepare reports, and analyze data in BFSCS systems
- Answer telephones and respond to inquiries
- Travel across all five NYC boroughs
Requirements
- Matriculation at an accredited college or graduate school
- Continued enrollment during employment
- Ability to work part-time
- Food Protection Certificate training and weekly testing
- Willingness to travel citywide
