Matriculated college student, Freshman or sophomore, Food Protection Certificate, Able to travel to all 5 boroughs, Data entry and reporting, Telephone and inquiry handling
About the role
Responsibilities
- Report to inspection sites and return to the central office to enter logs and data
- Survey feeding sites at schools, day camps, parks, and playgrounds
- Inspect locations for vermin activity and food safety issues
- Test and monitor food temperatures and explain findings to operators
- Prepare statistical reports, answer telephones, and respond to inquiries
- Travel across all five boroughs to conduct inspections
Requirements
- Matriculation at an accredited college or graduate school
- Freshman or sophomore status for this assignment level
- Continued enrollment while employed
- Ability to complete monthly training and earn a Food Protection Certificate
- Willingness to work part-time and travel citywide
