College Access & Preparedness Associate

Responsibilities

• Teach multiple CAP class sections per day with strong management and clear routines
• Deliver structured lessons guiding scholars through college applications, essays, and enrollment
• Coach scholars individually and in small groups to ensure high-quality deliverables
• Review and refine scholar essays, activity lists, and applications with precision
• Manage high-volume workflows and track milestones using dashboards and the CAP Portal
• Communicate proactively with families, School Leaders, and college admissions offices

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• 2–3 years of experience in teaching, youth development, or scholar-facing roles
• Demonstrated ability to lead groups with strong management and clarity
• Exceptional organizational skills to manage complex workstreams and deadlines
• Strong writing and editing skills with high attention to detail
• Proficiency using dashboards, portals, and AI-enabled tools
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-expectation environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior classroom teaching or instructional coaching experience
• Experience with college access, admissions, or financial aid
• Experience managing complex projects or high-volume pipelines
• Experience using workflow systems or digital tools to manage progress
