Collections System Technician

Responsibilities

• Inspect sanitary sewer collection systems and perform routine or emergency maintenance
• Operate sewer equipment such as rodding machines, pumps, CCTV units, flushing equipment, and related tools
• Support groundskeeping, traffic control, confined space entry, and sewer construction work
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, software, and computer components
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on equipment
• Enter data and record findings in computerized management systems

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license with safe driving record
• CDL required
• Knowledge of collection system operations
• PACP and MACP certification preferred/required by role context
• OSHA 10 and traffic flagger certification
• Ability to read and interpret as-built drawings
• Strong reading, math, writing, verbal, and computer skills
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
