Collections Loader - Trainee Class 2 Driver Loader

Responsibilities

• Carry out loading duties safely and efficiently on allocated collection rounds
• Learn and apply safe working practices, waste collection processes, and route operations
• Work collaboratively with Drivers, Chargehands, and Supervisors to ensure efficient service delivery
• Participate fully in all required training, inductions, and development activities
• Progress through a structured, funded Class 2 Driver development programme
• Successfully complete Class 2 licence training, including theory and practical tests
• Maintain high standards of attendance, punctuality, and professionalism
• Report hazards, accidents, and operational issues through appropriate channels

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence
• Positive attitude towards learning and personal development
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Good verbal communication skills
• Ability to follow instructions and safe working procedures
• Manual handling awareness or willingness to learn

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in an operational, outdoor, or physically demanding environment
• Previous professional driving experience
