Collections Agent

Responsibilities

• Handle a high volume portfolio of customer accounts in arrears
• Manage inbound and outbound telephone calls, letters, and emails
• Build relationships with customers to resolve breaches of agreements
• Negotiate and implement feasible repayment solutions
• Collaborate with internal teams to strategize recovery actions
• Instruct and monitor third parties such as debt collection agencies and paralegals
• Ensure compliance with legislation and regulatory guidelines
• Maintain accurate records in databases and systems

Requirements

• C1 level German fluency for client negotiation and handling tense situations
• Proficiency and curiosity in using AI tools to improve productivity
• Strong communication, accuracy, and confidence
• Ability to think on your feet and innovate

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year of debt recovery experience, ideally in the commercial sector
• Experience within the finance industry
• Strong business acumen and entrepreneurial spirit
