Collections Agent

Responsibilities

• Manage the Day 1–60 collections lifecycle for UK merchants, including sole traders and limited companies
• Recover hardware (payment terminals) from departing customers and manage the return process
• Conduct outbound phone activity to negotiate repayment plans and maintain firm collection standards
• Issue CCJs at appropriate stages and manage the hand-off of unresolvable cases to external agencies
• Flag invoicing errors to improve automation and provide feedback to improve onboarding and contracts
• Maintain meticulous records and report on recovery rates and cash collection metrics

Requirements

• Demonstrable UK debt collections experience covering both sole trader and limited company debt
• Background in small-ticket, high-volume B2B collections
• Proven experience issuing CCJs and/or managing external collections agency referrals
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to remain composed with difficult customers
• Fluent English and the right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available)
• Ability to work onsite from our White City, London office 5 days a week

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with and recovering debt from vulnerable parties
• Background in payments, fintech, or merchant services
• Experience building or improving collections processes from scratch
