About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct payment collection activities via telephone, letter, text, and email to minimize loss and maintain optimal delinquency ratios.
- Negotiate alternate payment arrangements, including amended terms and settlements, in accordance with Bank policies.
- Resolve inbound customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints regarding loan contracts in arrears.
- Identify risks associated with assigned accounts and execute prompt actions to secure the Bank's position.
- Ensure all activities comply with governing regulations, internal policies, and operational risk frameworks.
- Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank services.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a collections or customer service capacity, primarily utilizing the telephone.
- Experience managing and collecting on delinquent or overdue accounts within the financial services industry.
- Proficiency with Microsoft operating systems, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Bilingual fluency in both English and French is required to collaborate with various teams and clients.
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of predictive dialer equipment and payment collection systems.
