Collation Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and supervise a team of production workers from Leads to general labor
• Assign tasks and monitor daily activities of the production team
• Ensure sub-department production schedules and targets are met
• Implement and enforce quality control standards and procedures
• Enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
• Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain accurate records of production activities, quality, and inventory
• Manage allocation of materials, machinery, and workforce to optimize efficiency
• Oversee routine maintenance and repair of production equipment
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve performance

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 3-5 years in a manufacturing or production environment
• 1-2 years of previous supervisory or leadership experience
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles (5S, Kaizen)
• Understanding of quality control procedures and safety standards (OSHA)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with manufacturing equipment and technical troubleshooting
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and stand/walk for prolonged periods
• Ability to work extended hours, including overtime, evenings, and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering
• Certified Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) certification
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification
• Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE) certification
