About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the maintenance and support of mission-critical collateral management production applications, focusing on reliability, stability, and automation.
- Design and implement microservices-based, cloud-native applications leveraging Azure, Databricks, and APIs.
- Identify and eliminate redundant operational tasks through automation using SRE principles.
- Troubleshoot major incidents, perform root cause analysis, and create post-mortems to ensure permanent remediation.
- Partner with product and business stakeholders to drive solution design, feasibility analysis, and architecture decisions.
- Lead performance testing to identify bottlenecks and optimize capacity demands.
- Participate in incident, problem, change management, and disaster recovery activities.
- Provide 24x7 support coverage as needed.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in Production Support.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python or Java.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS).
- Experience with messaging technologies like MQ or Kafka.
- Proficiency with monitoring and telemetry tools such as Splunk, Grafana, or Dynatrace.
- Strong scripting skills in Unix, PowerShell, or Perl.
- Experience with SQL and Oracle databases.
- Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile principles.
Preferred Qualifications
- B.S. degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Knowledge of Snowflake, Databricks, or Kubernetes.
- Experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or Remedy.
- Background in Financial Services.
