About the role
Responsibilities
- Mentor BSN nursing students in an inpatient clinical setting in the St. Louis area
- Bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world patient care application
- Plan clinical experiences and provide direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students
- Provide documented feedback and remediation to students based on course objectives
- Develop and post written clinical assignments consistent with student skill competency
- Maintain current knowledge of agency and clinical policies and procedures
- Grade clinical paperwork, assignments, and other written work in a timely manner
Requirements
- Master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution
- Unencumbered professional nursing license in the state of Missouri
- At least two years of professional nursing experience within the last five years
- Ability to work onsite in a clinical setting, typically in 12-hour rotations (7a-7p)
Preferred Qualifications
- Illinois RN license (preferred for course assignment prioritization)
- Previous experience in teaching or precepting nursing students
