Cold Header Setup Operator

Responsibilities

• Setup and operate progressive type cold headers to produce finished parts
• Change tooling for job setup, replace broken tooling, and make necessary adjustments
• Manually straighten steel coil, butt weld, and grind ends prior to machine loading
• Read and interpret shop orders and blueprints to ensure parts meet specifications
• Use appropriate gauges, micrometers, and calipers to verify product quality
• Perform daily machine maintenance and enter production data into the kiosk
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized workspace following all health and safety regulations

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience with progressive type cold headers
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Experience using micrometers, calipers, and other precision gauges
• Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to stand and walk for the majority of an 8 to 10-hour shift
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 200 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with National headers
• Prior Tow Motor experience
